New Year, New Business Social Media Strategies

On behalf of FBI Consultancy, we’d like to wish you a Happy New Year for 2018.

To achieve what you want to achieve, it’s important to understand what it is you want to do and your position in the social media landscape. A social media marketing strategy or plan isn’t exactly easy. And by no means is it a one-day job. It takes time and patience and its all about you and your business having a strong understanding of your brand and who you want to target with it.

LinkedIn

There are several social media platforms that are ready to be leveraged to attain good business. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn are some of the major names. The latter, LinkedIn, is one we use at FBI Consultancy Ltd. With this, we provide a professional service by managing LinkedIn accounts for company’s employees to save the company time and energy, since social media strategies are very time-consuming. In doing this, we help bring about brand visibility, brand promotion, and lead generation.

Twitter

I keep FBI Consultancy’s Twitter (@FBIConsultltd) account active, as part of our social media strategy. You should check what’s trending (usually there are hashtags like #MondayMotivation or #ThursdayThoughts). I research certain quotes that are both relevant and appealing. I also put these with a picture. This Twitter strategy is about keep our brand active and noticed, so it’s not always about promoting yourself but just ensuring your brand name is out there.

WordPress

Just like this blog, I write numerous blog posts for FBI Consultancy every week. It’s important to blog, not only to keep up your brand visibility and promotion, but to allow content to keep your website high in Google’s search engine rankings.

There are plenty of things to write about on a variety of subjects. Dr. Mark D. Yates, Managing Director of FBI Consultancy Ltd, has written several blogs as well. On our blog, there are subjects ranging from the best times to post on social media to what customer service say about you and your business.

But, like most businesses, we offer specific professional services. This gives me the opportunity to simply write about them. Our interim director service, motivational speaker/LinkedIn training, business troubleshooting, and LinkedIn consultancy services have all been written about. So, it’s a good strategy to write blog posts about what you do and relate this to your audience to how this can benefit them.

What Else You Can Offer

You should think about what content you can offer online to be able to promote it through your social media strategy. Dr. Mark D. Yates wrote 3 eBooks:

All 3 are available to buy on Amazon.

You should also think about guest posts. Instead of just writing for your own blog, you could ask to write for another company’s blog as a guest. Normally you’ll have to work out what to write and how to write it, being subject to their rules, however, you be able to get your brand out there, in a way like free advertising. You offer your content writing skills for them, and they could let you mention your company or embed a backlink to your website. Once the blog is up, share it on social media to show your writing and also that you’re respected to appear elsewhere in the digital market.

And videos. FBI Consultancy Ltd have several promotional videos available on Vimeo. These are often used on social media platforms to promote us as a brand. Videos are good, as they’re something different to written content.

Dr. Mark D. Yates, the LinkedIn Consultant, and his team of LinkedIn experts, work together to ensure our clients receive excellent lead generation, and subsequently good sustainable business growth.
